How to connect an external website or page to the course checkout page built on Knorish or add an external link to Knorish site?
Knorish is an all-in-one platform that offers the complete tech stack that one would require to build and scale their online businesses. However, there can be situations wherein you may have a site built on another platform such as WordPress. In such cases, you can still connect your site with the Knorish course checkout for signups and purchases.
Once a course is published, you can generate a unique sign up URL to connect to your site's pages or buttons for redirection to your Knorish account for purchases and sign ups. This article will show you the step by step process on how it do this.
Generate course sign up link using the new V3 page builder
After the course is published, you can simply enable a landing page for the course and add the sign up link to a button on the page to extract your unique sign up URL.
Here's how to do this:
Access your Dashboard> Courses> New Course
Create a new course, add course name
Next click on Publish> Publish Course> Click OK
Click Next
In the landing page section, select + Add Page
You can use any option here - a new template, existing pages or a Blank Page
Under Blank page, add Page Name
Leave New Page Builder toggle button on
Click Create> Edit
Add a new section on the landing page
Click on the CTA button> Link
Under Type, select Course Checkout Links
Under Source, select published course name
Click OK> Save
You will now be able to copy the link from the CTA button. This would be the sign up link for the course which can be added on any other site or page.
Generate course sign up link using the old (V2)page builder
If you're still using the older (V2) page builder, you can easily generate a course sign up link to connect to your existing site. Although the interface and steps slightly differ from the new V3 page builder, the process remains straightforward. This section will guide you through creating the unique course sign up link using the V2 page builder.
Follow the steps below to find your unique sign up URL using the V2 page builder.
Access your Dashboard> Courses> New Course
Create a new course, add course name
Next click on Publish> Publish Course> Click OK
Click Next
In the landing page section, select + Add Page
Select Blank Page
Under Blank page, add Page Name
Turn off the option for New Page Builder
Click Create> Edit
Click + Section at the bottom middle of the page
From the right panel, select Buttons
Drag and drop a Button module
Click on the button> Edit Link
Under Select Link Type, select Go to Checkout Page
Under Select Link, select the published course name
Click Ok> Save
You will now be able to copy the link from the CTA button. This would be the sign up link for the course which can be added on any other site or page.
Creating bundle sign up links

Here's how to create a bundle sign up link:
Access your Dashboard> Courses> Bundles
Click on New Bundle and add a name
Add courses in the bundle
Click Save & Next
Select the appropriate pricing plan
Add required payment details including price
Click Save
At the bottom of the page, click Publish Bundle
In the bundle prices section, under Action, Select Copy Link
This is the link for the bundle sign up. Simply copy this link and paste it on the other site or page.
Adding an external URL to the menu or on a page on Knorish for redirection
Here's how to add an external link on your Knorish site for redirection.
Follow the steps listed below to add the external link on a button
Access your Knorish Dashboard
Go to your Knorish site
Click on edit on the Knorish page
Click on the button and select the link icon
Add the URL under Link
Select Open new window to open the URL on a new tab
Update the button text in the text section
Click Ok
Click Save to save the changes on the page
Follow the steps listed below to add the external link on the menu
Access your Knorish Dashboard
Go to your Knorish site
Click on edit on the Knorish page
Click on the settings icon on the menu
Select Menu Builder
Click On + Item
Under Display Text, add the text for the URL
Paste the URL under link
Select Open new window to open the URL on a new tab
Click Add
Drag and drop the new menu item as desired
Click Ok
Click Save to save the changes on the page
Once done, the changes will be updated and learners will be redirected to the specific URL from your Knorish site.
Important Considerations
Copy the whole URL and paste it on the external site to ensure proper redirection. The signup process will remain the same as enabled on your Knorish account.
