How to customize the User Dashboard to share Spotlights, add updates or announcements with learners and rearrange dashboard section order?

The User Dashboard is the first screen your learners see when they log in. By customizing it, you can boost course engagement, highlight important updates, and guide learners toward key actions like attending live sessions, resuming learning, or exploring new programs. With spotlights and drag-and-drop section controls, you can tailor the learner experience to drive higher completion rates and sales.

Create Spotlights for learners

Spotlights allow you to show important updates, announcements, or promotions directly on the learner's dashboard with images, descriptions, and action buttons.

Here’s how you can access and manage your spotlights:
  1. Click Website Builder > Site Settings > User Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Spotlights section
  3. Click Create Spotlight to add a new one
  4. Add the Title, Description, Button text, Image Thumbnail and the Button url
  5. Select Publish this spotlight
  6. Click Save

Once saved, you can also click on Preview on top right to view the changes made.

Delete or edit Spotlights for learners

You can quickly update or remove existing spotlights to keep your dashboard content fresh and relevant.

Here’s how you can edit or delete a spotlight:
  1. Click Website Builder > Site Settings > User Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Spotlights section
  3. Click the Gear icon next to the spotlight you want to modify
  4. Update the Title, Description, Button text, Image Thumbnail or the Button url as needed
  5. Else click Delete to permanently remove the spotlight from the dashboard
    1. To complete deletion, on the confirmation pop up select Yes Delete It.
  6. Click Save
Once saved, the Spotlight would be updated accordingly.

Rearrange the User Dashboard sections order

This feature allows you to rearrange what appears first for users—such as Flow AI, Spotlights, courses, or bundles—on their dashboard.

To rearrange the order of these content sections, follow these steps:
  1. Click Website Builder > Site Settings > User Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Sections Order space
  3. Drag and drop the section to the desired position in the sequence
  4. Click preview to confirm changes
The sections order will be saved automatically
Important Considerations
  1. You can preview the changes by clicking on the preview button on the top right of the page or by logging in as a different user in an incognito browser.
  2. Only admins can edit or rearrange the dashboard.
  3. Use spotlight CTAs to drive traffic to courses, events, Social media channels or lead magnets.
  4. Flow AI can be configured to engage learners, push recommendations, or offer AI support based on your setup.
  5. The new dashboard view is the default landing page for users upon login unless when a user is signing up on a course and a redirect has been added in the After Purchase Section.
