How to enable Knorish Flow AI on WhatsApp
Activating Knorish Flow AI on WhatsApp is quick and requires only a few clicks in your dashboard.
Follow these steps to enable the feature:
- Log into your Knorish account
- Go to Settings > Knorish Flow AI
- Select - Display Knorish Flow AI on user dashboard
- Select - Display Knorish Flow AI in live chat widget
- Select - WhatsApp auto-reply using Knorish Flow AI
- Under Active ChatBot Instruction, add custom instructions such as to avoid abusive or explicit content
Once these steps are followed, Knorish Flow AI will be activated on your WhatsApp For Business number.
You can guide how the AI responds by setting specific rules and adding contextual behavior using custom instructions. Follow these steps to configure custom instructions:
To configure chatbot behavior:
- Access Settings > Knorish Flow AI
- Scroll down to Active Chatbot Instruction
- Select checkboxes based on your requirement
- Use the available text space to add custom instructions

Viewing AI Chats and managing conversations
There are two ways to view conversations between customers and Knorish Flow AI. This helps you track interactions, review queries, and fine-tune bot behavior for better performance.
Method 1: View WhatsApp specific conversations via inbox
Use this method to check conversations initiated on WhatsApp between customers and Knorish Flow AI.
- Access your Publisher Dashboard
- Click WhatsApp > Inbox
- Browse through Individual WhatsApp conversations with customers
Method 2: View all AI conversations via Chats
This method shows all conversations handled by your Knorish Flow AI bot across platforms (WhatsApp, website, chatbot, etc.).
Here’s how to access these conversations:
- Click Settings > Knorish Flow AI > Chats
- Click Details against a name to review the entire conversation
Important Considerations
- Ensure your WhatsApp Business number is connected to Knorish before enabling Flow AI.
- Reply ONLY based on the content that the user has access to. If this checkbox is checked, Knorish Flow AI will only respond based on the content that the user has access to and for which the user must be logged in. If not checked, it will respond based on all available training data. This restriction will affect the user's experience when they are not logged in. When they are not logged in, the system will be unable to fetch any answers from custom-trained data, thus impacting anonymous chat through the chat widget or WhatsApp auto-reply.
- The AI performs best when your content is comprehensive and well-structured.
- Regularly update custom instructions based on real chat data to improve performance.
- Currently, all WhatsApp chats are fully managed by Flow AI and cannot be manually taken over in real-time.
- You can also insert custom instructions in Active ChatBot Instruction such as to suggest links, share contact numbers, offers, programs etc.
