What a user's journey looks like at Knorish?

In this article, we will show how your learners access and experience the platform across various scenarios such as:

In case the course is free or priced at 0 INR/USD

Here's how a user accesses a course when it is free.

The user visits your website, accesses the Courses section and clicks on the CTA (that has been linked by you) gets redirected to the signup page (in case the user is not logged in yet) and after filling up the required details on the signup page, the user is taken to their dashboard - without any checkout page being shown to them.

In case the course is priced

Here's the user journey of a user when it is priced at a certain amount.

The user visits your website, accesses the Courses section and clicks on the CTA (added by you) gets redirected to the signup page (in case the user is not logged in yet) and after filling up the required details on the signup page, the user is taken to the checkout page where they need to make the payment. Post payment the user will be redirected to their dashboard to continue accessing the content they have purchased.

Note: In the illustration video above, we have applied a coupon code to complete the purchase. Based on the user’s geographic location, INR/USD will be displayed. Learn more about pricing here: How to price a course on my Knorish site?

    In the case of Bundles

The user’s course purchase journey for Bundles is similar to the Course purchase journey. However, the checkout page payment options are displayed based on the type of pricing you have set up for the Bundle. In the case of a free payment plan, the user would still see the checkout page. Refer to the screenshot below:

In the case of a one-time payment plan

    Monthly payment plan

In case the user is manually added/imported

If the user is manually added/imported on your Knorish website for the first time and you have selected the ‘’Send create password email to new users’’ as displayed in the screenshot below, then the user will receive an email to create a password.

Note: Only a new user will receive an email to create a password. If you’re trying to add/import an existing user to the website, create password email will not be sent to the user, even if the ‘’Send create password email to new users’’ is selected.

    User Journey in this case

The user will receive an email to create a password. Clicking on the GET STARTED button, they will be redirected to the Create password page. Once the password has been created, the user will be redirected to their dashboard.

Note:The create password link expires in 10 days or if it is used once (whichever is earlier) and if it has expired, the user will see this error message:

In this case, please guide your users to visit your website and reset password by clicking on the Forgot password option.

    User dashboard View

This is what the user’s dashboard looks like:

To customize the user dashboard theme, refer to the instructions here: Customize user theme

    Others

Same course/bundle checkout again would show the popup "Oops, looks like you have already purchased this item" and then clicking on 'Ok' will redirect the user to the course curriculum or bundle details page.

If the Checkout redirect is enabled in course settings, the user will be redirected to the first chapter of the course instead of the dashboard/course curriculum.
