Google Analytics is a widely used and highly popular tool for tracking and analyzing website visitors. This free tool, provided by Google, allows you to easily measure your site traffic, analyze the performance of your ads, and track advanced events through Google Tag Manager. Integrating Google Analytics into your website is a straightforward process.

To begin the integration process, log in to your Knorish account and navigate to the Dashboard. From there, go to the Integrations section and select Marketing. Scroll down until you find the Google Analytics option. In this section, you can paste the measurement ID, which you can obtain from your Google Analytics dashboard.

Generate Google Analytics Measurement ID

Google allows the generation of Analytics measurement ID directly from the Analytics dashboard. To generate your analytics measurement id, please follow the below-listed steps.

Step 1: Create new property

Step 2: Provide the necessary information to create it.

Step 3: Once you have created the property, you will be automatically redirected to the new property account.

Step 4: Navigate to the 'Admin' section and then access the Data stream settings.

Step 5: On the Data Stream page, you can create a new stream specifically for the 'Web' type. Once created, you can easily copy the measurement ID associated with this stream.

Step 6: Enter the measurement ID into the Knorish dashboard and click on the connect button to establish the connection.

Your integration is now complete and ready to be used. Once your website starts receiving traffic, you will be able to instantly view the analytics in your Google Analytics account.

Note: Upon successful connection to Google Analytics, data for the specified events as well as default events will begin to flow automatically.

  • Page View: When a user navigates to a page.
  • Begin Checkout: When a user starts the checkout process, Knorish will provide the following data with this event: Value, Currency, Items, and Coupon.
  • Purchase: When a user successfully makes a purchase, Knorish will transmit the following data along with this event: Transaction ID, Purchase Value, Currency Type and any applied Coupons.
