How to add GST information and edit organization details

Creators have the flexibility to make changes to their organization details on the Knorish platform. This includes editing their organization name, address, and GST number. By having the ability to update these details, creators can ensure that their organization's information is accurate and up to date. Plus, you will be able to share GST Compliant invoices to your students automatically.

Editing Organization Name, Address, and GST number

  • To edit these details log in to your account on Knorish.
  • Access the dashboard.
  • Scroll down in the left toolbar and select the ‘Organization’ option in the ‘Settings’ menu as shown in the image above.
  • In the ‘Organization details for billing your users,’ update all the details
    • Organization Name
    • Country
    • State
    • Address
    • GST number
  • Turn on the 'Generate GST Invoice receipt for my courses (for GST tax compliance in India)' option to ensure that students are able to download GST-enabled invoices.
  • Click on the ‘Save’ button to confirm the changes.

GST-basedOnce saved, students will be able to choose the option to enable GST based invoices should they wish by selecting the option at the time of sign-up.

Different Names For Website and GST

There could be a situation where the brand name on the website could be different than the name of the registered entity in GST or for other legal purposes.

In such cases, simply scroll down the same page, and update the 'Display Name' here. After this, the GST-based invoices will have the name shared basis the organization name updated in the settings. All other instances such as emails and others will show the display name.
