How to use course settings to control pricing, access, certificates, and more on Knorish?

This article explains how to access and use the course settings in Knorish to manage key features like pricing, certificate downloads, learner access, course compliance, and more.

Accessing Course Settings

Every course on Knorish includes a settings section that allows you to configure critical course parameters before publishing.


Follow these steps to access course settings:
  1. Go to Dashboard > Courses
  2. Click on the Course Name > Course Builder > Publish

Available course settings & their functions

The course settings panel includes all configurable options related to course visibility, pricing, engagement, compliance, and more.


Use the fields and options available to configure:

  1. Course Name – Update the title that appears on your course page
  2. Course Thumbnail – Upload a custom image representing the course
  3. Pricing Plan
    1. Free Plan – Allow users to enroll without payment (optionally set expiry)
    2. One-Time Payment – Set a one-time fee for lifetime or time-bound access
      1. Click "Add" to add a specific pricing option including pricing plan title, amount, currency, and expiry
  4. Course Prices Table – View and manage all pricing plans
  5. Pricing Actions – Copy link, Edit, Make Default, or Delete pricing plan

Define learner access and control course visibility:


  1. Course Language – Select from available delivery languages
  2. Course Reader Level – Choose reading level (e.g., Beginner, Intermediate)
  3. Display in Course Library – Show or hide course from the public library
    1. Call to Action – Redirect users to Landing Page or Default Price Link
  4. Allow Course Checkout – Enable or disable both regular and express checkout
  5. Display on Apps – List your course on Android/iOS mobile apps
  6. Course Categories – Organize your course for easier browsing

Set rules around how learners access, progress through, and complete your course:

  1. Enable Chat – Allow learners to communicate within the course
  2. Allow Certificate Download – Enable users to download completion certificates
  3. Customize Certificate – Use the provided link to design your certificate template
  4. Limit Course Sales – Cap the number of enrollments
  5. Enforce Chapter Order – Force learners to progress in sequence
  6. Enforce Assessment Passing – Require users to pass assessments to unlock next chapters
  7. Show Assessment Result – Display detailed quiz results to users after completion

Important Considerations

  1. If INR price is greater than 0 and USD price is 0 => INR will be visible everywhere
  2. If USD price is greater than 0 and INR price is 0 => USD will be visible everywhere
  3. If INR price is greater than 0 and USD price is greater than 0 => We check the user's IP address. If the IP address is outside India, we display USD. If the IP address is inside India, we display INR.
  4. If you are using both currencies, it is recommended to use INR and USD when you are designing or customizing the landing page.
  5. If the INR price is 0 and the USD price is 0 => Course will become free. There is not any currency conversion involved, whatever price is set, the same is displayed on the checkout page.

  7. Allow course regular and express checkout must be turned on always to ensure your users are able to sign up or purchase the programs.
