Enhanced Checkout: Customize Your Course Checkout | Edbound

Enhanced Checkout

Enhanced Checkout is a customizable, passwordless checkout experience for your courses and bundles. It lets you control how users sign up, what information they provide, what they see during checkout, and which emails are sent after they purchase. You can configure the checkout experience from the Checkout section of a course or bundle.

How to enable Enhanced Checkout?

The Enhanced Checkout experience is enabled per course, allowing you to decide exactly which courses should use this checkout experience. Follow these steps to access checkout settings and enable Enhanced Checkout.

  1. Access your dashboard
  2. Click Courses & Bundles >  Courses
  3. Select the course you want to configure
  4. Click on Checkout
  5. Under Checkout Type select Enhanced Checkout
  6. Click Save Changes
Info
Note: Enhanced Checkout works for both free and paid courses or bundles. If you’re planning to sell your content, pricing must be configured prior to enabling Enhanced Checkout. To learn how to set up pricing, refer to these FAQs: Pricing your courses or pricing your bundles.

Here's how:

  1. Add the content
  2.  Customize with given editing options
  3. Click Save Changes

How to customize the checkout page design?

You can customize the checkout page design, including its visual appearance and checkout button, from the Customize Checkout Page settings. See the Customize Checkout Page guide for details.

Important Considerations
  1. When creating a new course or bundle, if no price link is created, clicking the Preview button automatically creates a new price point for preview purposes. You can delete this price point if it is not required.
  2. To hide the coupon section on checkout, turn off Display Coupon Field in Enhanced Checkout settings.
  3. Turning off Display Commercials for Free Price Point removes the 0.00 pricing shown on the checkout page.
  4. The pricing option enabled on the landing page signup button is automatically used in Enhanced Checkout.
  5. The embed option uses iframe-based embeds. Any iframe-supported content can be added as required.
  6. In case the images do not upload properly, you need to delete the previously uploaded image and reupload it and wait for the upload confirmation.
