Once a course is completed and a certificate is enabled, your learners can download the course completion certificate directly from their accounts. Certificate templates are also available to choose from or you can create a custom-designed certificate as well. This article shows you the step-by-step process on how to enable this. 

How to enable a course certificate on your course?

This section guides you through the simple steps to activate this feature in your course settings.

• Login to the dashboard
• Select Courses and click on the Builder icon to access the course curriculum section
• Select Publish
• Scroll down to the bottom of the page, turn on the toggle button for Certificate download
• Click on Publish Course
• Then click on click here
• Under Certificate section, update the details:
  Author name on certificate
  Author designation on certificate
  Upload Logo
  Upload Signature
• Click on Pick this template in Select the certificate template section
• On the Pop-up, click on Yes, Change It
• Click on Preview Certificate to review the final output as a template

How can students download the certificate or share it on social media?

This section explains the process of how your learners can access, download and share their certificates easily.

• Login to their account to access their dashboard
• Access the completed course
• Click on Certificate
• Click On Download Certificate
• Then Download

The certificate will be downloaded in PDF format. From the same screen, your learners will be able to share the certificate on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as they choose. 

How To Check If A Student Has Downloaded The Certificate?

Discover how to verify if a student has downloaded their course completion certificate by following the instructions in this section.

• Click on Users
• Click on User Engagement
• In the Course drop down, select the course
• In the Certificates drop down, select Downloaded
• Click Search

You will see the details of all learners who have downloaded the certificate. 

What will happen when a course is deleted?

When a course is deleted from the platform, it affects certificate accessibility in several ways:

1. Users who have not yet downloaded their certificate yet will lose the opportunity to do so once the course is removed.
2. Users who have previously downloaded the certificate but need to re-download it for any reason will also be unable to download the certificate again once the course is deleted.
3. However, for users who have already downloaded their certificate, the verification link embedded within the certificate will remain functional. This ensures that even if the course is no longer available, the validity and verification of the certificate are not impacted.

Important considerations:

• If the assessment progress doesn't show as 100%, please ensure you have reviewed the user's assessment submissions. Instructions on the same can be found here: Assessment completed but did not get the course certificate.
• If additional chapters/sections are added to the course(s), it will affect the user's course progress and the learner will have to complete the course to be able to download the certificate.
• Please note that once a user finishes the course and assessment and downloads the certificate, the certificate date will stay the same as the initial download date. If the user downloads the certificate again later, the date won't change and will remain consistent with the first date.
• Should you wish to download the data of the users who have downloaded the certificate, select the date range, course name, certificate status as downloaded and search. This data would be of all the users who have downloaded their certificates. You can then click on CSV, Excel or print to retrieve this data for further use.
