How to Rename a Community Group?
Sometimes you may want to rebrand a group, fix a typo in its name, or make the group name more relevant as your community evolves. Renaming a group in Knorish is quick and doesn’t affect your members or their access — it only updates how the group name is displayed across your community.
Steps to rename a group
- Access your Knorish Dashboard
- Click Community > Groups
- Under Groups, find the group you want to rename
- Click Action > Group Settings
- On the Group Settings page, update the Group Name field with the new name
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes
The new group name will be updated immediately across your community.
Important considerations
- Group names can be alphanumeric and may include special characters.
- While renaming, you can also review and update other group settings (like description, visibility, or permissions) as needed.
- Changing the group name does not change the group joining link. Members will still use the original link to join.
- Changes take effect instantly, so double-check the updated name and settings before saving.
