Knorish now allows you to send mass WhatsApp broadcasts directly from your dashboard. Whether you want to engage your audience through a CSV file or target specific groups like team members, course enrollees, or bundle users, it's all possible with just a few clicks. This guide walks you through each method step-by-step, helping you set up and send WhatsApp messages quickly and efficiently. Watch this video to checkout the entire process and options available

Send a WhatsApp broadcast message using a CSV file

Use this method when you have a custom list of upto 10,000 phone numbers saved in a CSV file.

Follow these steps to get started:
  1. Access Dashboard > WhatsApp > Settings
  2. Ensure your WhatsApp for Business number is connected and approved
  3. Click Broadcast > New Broadcast > Enter Broadcast name
  4. Under message template, select the pre-approved message from the dropdown
  5. Click Add CSV File under recipients
  6. Upload the new CSV file
  7. Choose Send now or Schedule for a specific time
  8. Select time zone, date, and time accordingly
  9. Click Update Broadcast
The broadcast will be sent automatically as per the options selected.

Note: You can also click Download sample template to format your file correctly. Additionally, you can also select a previously uploaded CSV from the drop down available in recipients to retarget the same audience.

Send a WhatsApp broadcast message to team users

Use this option to send messages directly to members of a specific team you've created in Knorish.

Steps to send a broadcast to team users:
  1. Access Dashboard > WhatsApp > Settings
  2. Ensure your WhatsApp for Business number is connected and approved
  3. Click Broadcast > New Broadcast > Enter Broadcast name
  4. Select Message template
  5. Select a Team under Recipients
  6. Choose Send now or Schedule for a specific time
  7. Select time zone, date, and time accordingly
  8. Click Update Broadcast

Send a WhatsApp broadcast message to course users

Want to message users of a specific course? This method lets you target your entire list of learners from one specific course.

Steps to send a broadcast to course users:
  1. Access Dashboard > WhatsApp > Settings
  2. Ensure your WhatsApp for Business number is connected and approved
  3. Click Broadcast > New Broadcast
  4. Enter Broadcast name
  5. Under Message Template, select the pre-approved message from the dropdown
  6. Select a Course under Recipients
  7. Choose Send now or Schedule for a specific time
  8. Select time zone, date, and time accordingly
  9. Click Update Broadcast

Send a WhatsApp broadcast message to bundle users

This method is perfect when you want to send messages to learners who’ve purchased a course bundle.

Steps to send a broadcast to bundle users:
  1. Access Dashboard > WhatsApp > Settings
  2. Ensure your WhatsApp for Business number is connected and approved
  3. Click Broadcast > New Broadcast >Enter Broadcast name
  4. Under Message Template, select the pre-approved message from the dropdown
  5. Select a Bundle under Recipients
  6. Choose Send now or Schedule for a specific time
  7. Select time zone, date, and time accordingly
  8. Click Update Broadcast

Send a WhatsApp broadcast message to IAM users

IAM users are users created with identity and access management (non-course specific). Use this when targeting general platform users.

Steps to send a broadcast to IAM users:
  1. Access Dashboard > WhatsApp > Settings
  2. Ensure your WhatsApp for Business number is connected and approved
  3. Click Broadcast > New Broadcast
  4. Enter Broadcast name
  5. Under Message Template, select the pre-approved message from the dropdown
  6. IAM users will auto-populate under Recipients
  7. Choose Send now or Schedule for a specific time
  8. Select time zone, date, and time accordingly
  9. Click Update Broadcast
Important Considerations

  1. When uploading the broadcast list in the CSV file option, ensure that the data is in the correct format including name, valid country code, and the WhatsApp number.
  2. The total character count in the phone number list must be between 7 and 15 characters long.  
  3. Each CSV file can contain up to 10,000 phone numbers.
  4. Avoid spamming customers to maintain a strong WhatsApp for Business reputation.
  5. Ensure message content is relevant and compliant as per WhatsApp policies.
