I had opted for the Knorish website design option, can I get access to the videos or images used on the website during the design process?

Knorish is designed as a DIY (do-it-yourself) platform to empower experts and businesses to easily build and manage their own websites with confidence. While we do offer a one-time website design service on select plans, please note that we do not maintain the repository of the assets used. In most cases, users are requested to share their images in advance, usually via a cloud drive. Hence, you may already have access to the original files through that shared folder.
Additionally, all images are automatically resized to fit various sections of your site, which may slightly impact their reusability elsewhere. To support you further, this guide will walk you step-by-step through how to locate and download both images and videos—whether embedded or uploaded—used on your website.

Downloading Images Used on the Website

Images used during the website design are not stored in a central repository, but you can still extract them from your live website using free browser extensions.

To download images from your published website:
  1. Open your website in Google Chrome
  2. Visit the Google Chrome Extension Library
  3. Install an image downloader chrome extension
  4. Launch the extension to scan and list all visible images
  5. Select the desired images and download
This is a simple way to recover visuals if the original files are not readily available.

Alternative Images for Free: High-Quality Stock Resources

If you're looking to replace or add new visuals, you can explore royalty-free image platforms offering millions of high-quality options from sites such as
  1. Pexels
  2. Unsplash
  3. Pixabay
  4. Shutterstock
All these platforms offer high resolution images for personal and commercial use.

Accessing Videos Embedded on the Website

As part of website design and page speed best practices, we always recommend hosting videos on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. As such, we ask that these videos be uploaded to your own accounts and then shared with us for embedding. To access or download them, please log in to your respective video hosting account.

Accessing and Downloading Natively Uploaded Videos

If you’ve uploaded videos directly to Knorish, you can retrieve them from your File Manager on the Publisher Dashboard.

To locate and download natively uploaded videos, follow the steps below:
  1. Login to your Knorish Publisher Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Website Builder > File Manager
  3. Use the search bar to enter the file name or type (for example - .mp4)
  4. Copy the URL of the video file
  5. Paste the link into a new tab
  6. Download the video
This gives you direct access to your original uploaded video files.
