How to whitelabel your emails sent from your knorish account using your own domain or email ?

By default, all emails from your Knorish account including notifications, announcements, and campaign messages are sent from noreply@knorishmails.com. While this ensures reliable delivery, you can enhance your brand identity by sending emails from your own domain and sender email address.
This setup allows you to whitelabel your outgoing emails, improving credibility, deliverability, and brand trust. To complete this process, you must connect your email domain in Knorish and add the required DNS records through your domain provider.
Before starting the email setup, ensure that custom domain integration on Knorish is already completed.

Connecting Your Email Domain in Knorish

Before configuring DNS records with your domain provider, you must first add your domain and sender details inside your Knorish dashboard. This section allows you to define the domain and sender information that will be used for your branded emails. Follow the steps below.

Follow these steps:
  1. Access your Knorish Dashboard
  2. Click Settings > Integrations
  3. Under Domain & Email, scroll to Connect your email
  4. Enter your Email domain, Sender email (from email address), Reply-To email and the Sender name (name displayed in inbox)
  5. Click Save
After saving, a section titled Update DNS Records will appear showing the DNS records that must be added to your domain provider. Because DNS configuration steps vary between providers, detailed setup instructions are provided below for two commonly used platforms: Cloudflare based email setup and GoDaddy based email setup.

Cloudflare Based Email Setup

If your domain is managed using Cloudflare, you must add the DNS records provided in Knorish to your Cloudflare DNS settings. This step verifies domain ownership and authorizes Knorish to send emails using your custom sender domain.

Follow the steps below as shown in the video above:
  1. Log in to your Cloudflare dashboard
  2. Select your domain > DNS
  3. Click Add record
  4. Copy and paste each record shown in Knorish under Type, Name, and Value
  5. Ensure Proxy Status is set to DNS Only for all CNAME records
  6. Add the MX record exactly as shown
  7. Add the TXT records for SPF and DMARC
  8. Save all DNS records

  1. Once validated, under Finalizing Connection, the statuses will show as Success

After this, all automated and campaign emails will display your whitelabeled sender name and email. You could also send a test email to validate the completion.

GoDaddy Based Email Setup

If your domain is hosted with GoDaddy, the DNS records must be added through GoDaddy’s DNS Management panel. This configuration verifies your domain and enables Knorish to send emails from your branded email address.

Follow the steps below:
  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account
  2. Open My Products
  3. Select your domain > DNS Management
  4. Click Add to create a new DNS record
  5. Add each record from Knorish using the Type, Name, and Value fields
  6. Add the CNAME records exactly as shown
  7. Add the MX record with the specified priority
  8. Add the TXT records for SPF and DMARC
  9. Save all DNS entries

  1. Once validated, under Finalizing Connection, the statuses will show as Success

After this, all automated and campaign emails will display your whitelabeled sender name and email. You could also send a test email to validate the completion.

Common Troubleshooting Errors

If your setup isn’t validating, review the issues below and apply the suggested fixes.

Error: “Verification Pending”

  1. Cause: DNS propagation delay (records not yet detected globally)
  2. Fix: Wait 12–24 hours before revalidating
Error: “Target not allowed for a proxied record”
  1. Cause: CNAME records are proxied through Cloudflare
  2. Fix: Set Proxy Status to DNS Only and save again

If issues persist, contact Knorish Support with screenshots of your DNS settings for assistance.

Important Considerations

  1. Always set CNAME records to DNS only (not proxied).
  2. Ensure all CNAME, MX and TXT entries are added exactly as shown in Knorish.
  3. Avoid duplicate or conflicting DNS entries in your domain configuration.
  4. To set up your email account (MX records), please follow this guide: How to Setup MX Records (Knorish Support).
