How to whitelabel your emails sent from your knorish account using your own domain?

By default, all emails from your Knorish account — including notifications, announcements, and campaign messages — are sent from noreply@knorishmails.com. While this ensures reliable delivery, you can now enhance your brand identity by whitelabeling these emails to display your own domain, sender name, and sender email address. This article explains how to set up your custom sender domain in Knorish, add DNS records in your domain provider, and troubleshoot common setup issues.

Updating the Details

To begin the white-labeling process, you’ll need to connect your sender email domain, add DNS records, and finalize the verification.

Follow these steps:
  1. Access your Knorish Dashboard
  2. Click Settings > Integrations
  3. Under Domain & Email, scroll to Connect your email
  4. Add your Domain name and sender email details
  5. Click Save
  6. Review the Update DNS Records section that appears below

  1. Log in to your domain provider
    1. Access your domain’s DNS Management section
    2. Add each record exactly as shown under “Type”, “Name”, and “Value”
    3. Make sure Proxy Status is turned off (DNS Only)
    4. Save all entries
  2. Return to Knorish
  3. Click Validate
  4. Once validated, under Finalizing Connection, the statuses will show as Success

After this, all automated and campaign emails will display your whitelabeled sender name and email. You could also send a test email to validate the completion.

Common Troubleshooting Errors

If your setup isn’t validating, review the issues below and apply the suggested fixes.
Error: “Verification Pending”

  1. Cause: DNS propagation delay (records not yet detected globally)
  2. Fix: Wait 12–24 hours before revalidating
Error: “Target not allowed for a proxied record”
  1. Cause: CNAME records are proxied through Cloudflare
  2. Fix: Set Proxy Status to DNS Only and save again

If issues persist, contact Knorish Support with screenshots of your DNS settings for assistance.

Important Considerations
  1. Always set CNAME records to DNS Only, not proxied.
  2. Ensure all CNAME, MX, and TXT entries are added exactly as shown in Knorish.
  3. Avoid duplicate or conflicting DNS entries in your domain configuration.
  4. To set up your email account (MX records), please follow this guide: How to Setup MX Records (Knorish Support).
  5. Here's how to update these records on popular providers:
    1. GoDaddy: Edit a TXT RecordEdit an MX Record
    2. Cloudflare: Manage DNS Records
    3. Hostinger: Manage DNS Records at Hostinger
    4. NameCheap: Add TXT/SPF/DKIM/DMARC Records
