Important Considerations

  • Templates must adhere to Meta's messaging guidelines; any violation may lead to rejection.
  • There are two types of templates that can be approved:
    • Marketing: Generating awareness or driving sales such as special offers, product announcements, or event invitations.
    • Utility: Transactional or informational messages related to specific, agreed-upon transactions such as order confirmations, shipping updates, or appointment reminders.
  • Character count limits for templates:
    • Header: Maximum 45 characters including spaces.
    • Body: Maximum 950 characters including spaces.
    • Footer: Maximum 60 characters including spaces.
  • You can add up to three buttons per message, with only one button of each type allowed. Available button types include:
    • Marketing Opt-out: Allows recipients to unsubscribe from marketing messages.
    • Custom Text Reply: Enables users to send predefined text responses.
    • Add Link (URL): Directs users to a specified webpage.
    • Call Number: Initiates a phone call to a designated number.
    • Copy Code: Provides a code that users can easily copy for use elsewhere.
  • Use placeholders such as {{name}}, {{phone}} or {email}  to dynamically personalize your messages.
  • Include action buttons to improve engagement rates and responses.
  • Avoid overly promotional language that might violate approval criteria.
  • Any edits to approved templates require re-submission for review.
