How do I ensure GST invoicing for my paid community?
When you run paid communities on Knorish, all payments flow through courses or bundles linked to your groups. Invoices are automatically generated and emailed to your audience as soon as a transaction is completed, whether free or paid. For paid transactions, GST invoicing is handled at the course or bundle level. By adding your GST information and configuring organization details, you can ensure that every invoice is tax compliant while Knorish takes care of generating and sending them.
Note: You don't need to add GST information separately for invoices generated for paid groups if you have already setup your GST information for your domain on Knorish already. You can check this information under Settings > Organization Details

How GST is applied on invoices
All amounts charged on a Knorish account are assumed to be inclusive of GST. This means your listed course or bundle price already includes the applicable tax, and the GST portion is calculated automatically. When a member purchases a course or bundle (to access your paid group, membership, or tier):
- The GST component is auto-calculated within the amount charged
- It appears clearly on the invoice sent to the member

Important Considerations
- GST invoicing is managed at the course or bundle level, which power your paid groups. So there's isn't a separate invoice shared for community led purchases.
- All amounts on Knorish are treated as inclusive of GST.
- Ensure your GSTIN and organization details are correctly entered under Settings > Organization details. Invoices generated due to wrong information cannot be altered. Knorish cannot alter those invoices either.
- All invoices are automatically generated and emailed to your members for both free and paid transactions.
- You remain responsible for filing and remitting GST to the relevant tax authorities as per the applicable relevant laws.
