Adding a watermark to your videos helps protect your content from unauthorized sharing while reinforcing your brand identity with every view. Whether it’s a logo, icon, or custom graphic, Knorish lets you easily upload and manage your watermark to maintain a consistent and professional video experience across your course content.
Please note that only one watermark can be added which will be applied to all course videos in your account.
How to add a watermark to your videos
You can upload and position your watermark image directly in the Video Library section of your dashboard.
Follow these steps to upload and place your watermark:
- Access the dashboard
- Click Courses > Video Library
- Scroll to the bottom to find the section: Personalize your video watermark
- Click Upload and choose your PNG watermark image
- Confirm the upload when prompted
- Drag and drop the watermark to position it anywhere on the video preview
- Release to finalize placement
All future videos uploaded after this will automatically have the watermark applied in the position you choose. We recommend uploading one test video first to review how the watermark appears. If needed, adjust the watermark placement in the same section before uploading additional videos. Once satisfied, every new upload will consistently carry the watermark in your preferred position.
How to delete or remove the watermark from your videos
You can remove the watermark so it no longer appears on future video uploads. However, watermark removal does not affect videos that already have the watermark embedded.
To remove the watermark from future uploads:
- In the Personalize your video watermark section
- Click Delete to remove the active watermark
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt
Deleting the watermark will stop it from appearing in future uploads, but it won’t remove it from videos already uploaded. To remove the watermark from older videos, you’ll need to manually replace each one. This involves finding the video in your Video Library, going to its settings, clicking on the “Video used in” section, opening the course via the Curriculum button, creating a new chapter, re-uploading the same video (now without the watermark), and then deleting the old version. This step is needed because watermarks are permanently embedded in videos at the time of upload.
Important Considerations
- The watermark is encoded into the video file and cannot be removed from the videos automatically after uploading.
- If you want to change or remove your watermark later, you must re-upload the affected content with the original files
- It is highly recommended not to upload any new videos until your watermark or its placement is finalized
- Knorish will not be able to provide the original watermark-free video files
