How to add an external chat tool on your Knorish site?

Using the steps listed here, you can use any chat tool that comes with the option of an embed code. Several chat tools can be used to enable great customer service such as  Freshchat, Olark, etc. They do offer a large variety of features across different plans and you may choose the plan that best suits your needs. How to register for a Freshchat account & enable the chat tool?

Follow the steps below to setup your account & enable the chat option.


  • Set up your account on the chat platform of your choice. The above listed option is for Freshdesk messaging.
  • Once done, you would get a code snippet.
  • Copy the Code.

Steps to set up a chat tool  on your site

Here's how to enable the chat tool on your site across all pages. 

 

  • Access Account Dashboard > Website Builder > Custom Code 
  • Under header code, paste the copied code in the last row
  • Click Save

This would enable the chat tool on all your site pages. Once a form is submitted, the information will be available in the tool itself. 

Enabling the chat tool on one specific page

Follow the steps to enable the chat tool on a specific page.


  • Log in to your Knorish Publisher Account 
  • Go to Pages in Website Builder
  • Select the Page to include the chat tool
  • Choose Edit Tool
  • Scroll to Custom Footer Code
  • Paste copied Chat tool code there
  • Tick the Publish & Save button
