How to Set Up an Abandoned Cart Funnel on Edbound AI to Recover Lost Sales

Every day, potential customers drop off just before completing their purchase, leaving revenue on the table. Without a system in place to re-engage these users, your business could be missing out on significant growth opportunities. The Abandoned Cart Funnel (currently in beta) helps you recover these lost sales by automatically following up with interested buyers. With timely emails, WhatsApp nudges, Web Push notifications, and optional retargeting ads, this funnel increases conversions, drives revenue, and reactivates user interest, all without manual intervention.

  1. A maximum of upto 10 courses or bundles can selected per abandoned cart funnel setup.
  2. The cart abandonment duration must be between 10 to 720 minutes.
  3. WhatsApp messages must already be pre-approved by Meta before use.
  4. The default email template includes a “Buy Now” button linked to a single product.
  5. If you select multiple courses or bundles, this button will not work—customize the template accordingly.
  6. The same email or WhatsApp message is sent for all selected items, so avoid referencing specific course names to ensure universal applicability.
  7. The automated email or whatsapp messaging stops once a user completes the purchase for any selected product.
  8. Learn more on how to create or design a landing page for the abandoned cart funnel: How to design a landing page?
  9. Here's how to create or update your WhatsApp templates: Submit a new WhatsApp template.
  10. The same Web Push notification is sent for all selected items, so avoid referencing specific course names to ensure universal applicability.
  11. Web Push notifications stop firing once a user completes the purchase for any selected product, the same way emails and WhatsApp messages do.
  12. Web Push notifications only reach subscribers who have logged in, visited their user dashboard at least once and have browser notifications enabled.
